Palace Casino Resort

Biloxi, MS

Palace Casino Resort in Biloxi, MS is a casino on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and a premiere destination for luxurious accommodations, superior guest service and endless excitement. The dramatic Palace Casino Resort Expansion and Renovation was described as the largest casino expansion on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since Hurricane Katrina.

The goal from the outset was to expand and reposition Palace as a welcoming, state-of-the-art facility that will rejuvenate an existing gaming environment, energize current clientele, and attract a new generation of players. Architects looked to the Gulf Coast’s recreational spirit, inspired by boating, yachting and white sand beaches. They created a seamless connection between the architecture, appearance, and function of the existing spaces and the new building, to transform it into a modern resort.

The interior of the resort’s experience starts with the two-story atrium that serves as the hotel lobby as well as the introduction to the gaming floor. The new 40,000-square-foot gaming floor features 1,100 slot machines and 26 new table games, including a high limit salon. Restaurant offerings include the 300-seat buffet, the 56-seat Stacked Grill, the 24-hour Café & Bakery, and the upscale Contact Lounge & Sports Bar featuring 165 seats and a stage for live entertainment.

For this 110,000 sq. ft. project, architects needed materials that were visually distinctive and durable. CENTRIA’s Profile Series single-skin metal panels make inspiring designs come to life with highly aesthetic, high performance panels that are also highly cost effective. The utilization of CENTRIA metal panel systems provided the architects with flexibility, quality and style in their design while staying on a reasonable budget.

CENTRIA’s Formawall Dimension Series reimagines metal by providing thermal efficiency and moisture control in a single panelized component. The insulated panels include factory foamed-in-place cores, which serve to minimize insulation gaps, along with thermal breaks between the faces and liners. The vertical panels chosen for this project can be integrated with wall components and hence allow for an integrated, high performance system.
