  • CENTRIA's Formawall 1000H Provides International Solutions

Rigidal receives license to produce panel that performs as good as it looks

PITTSBURGH, United States, December 13, 2011—CENTRIA, a world leader in the development and production of metal roof and wall cladding systems, introduces Formawall 1000H exterior panels to the international arena. Formawall is an insulated metal wall system that provides advanced thermal efficiency and moisture control in a single panelized component. Aesthetically, the exceptionally smooth surface of the panel creates a stunning visual appearance. Through a licensing agreement, the CENTRIA panels are manufactured by Rigidal Industries LLC, Dubai, one of the oldest and largest cladding manufacturers in the United Arab Emirates, offering full international services to architects, consultants and its customers worldwide.

“Both CENTRIA and Rigidal have deep roots in the international building community and the demand for superior exterior metal wall systems continues to grow,” said Adrian Jones, CENTRIA Regional Manager, Dubai. “Formawall 1000H meets this need by incorporating advanced performance benefits with sustainability and aesthetics, demonstrating CENTRIA’s commitment to providing our international customers with innovative building products.”

Compared to traditional multi-component wall construction – typically requiring seven separate components and up to three installers – the Formawall wall system requires only one component and one installer to create a high performance, sustainable enclosure in any environment. The quick and easy installation also helps reduce construction costs.

Along with performance, Formawall panels create an aesthetically pleasing, exceptionally smooth building surface with mitered corner details and a concealed fixing system that produces clean, sharp lines and corners. The panels are available in flat and embossed surface treatments and can be curved or formed into a variety of shapes for design flexibility.

Other benefits of Formawall 1000H include:

    ·         Conforms to the most rigorous of International Building Code approvals

    ·         Factory injected polyurethane foamed core for dependable thermal performance

    ·         Thermal break between panel face and liner gives efficient ‘U’ values

    ·         High strength steel panel offers increased spanning capabilities, saving support costs

    ·         Airtight construction reduces energy consumption

    ·         Trimless ends eliminate the requirement for extrusions or trims at panel joints, windows and other openings

    ·         Integrated glazing, louvers and solar shading are available

Formawall 1000H has undergone rigorous testing, including thermal, air infiltration, water penetration and a rain screen test for horizontal panels to ensure it performs to the highest standards.

  • CENTRIA International Announces New Versacor Ultra Coatings

Versacor Ultra family of premium coatings offer protection, performance and aesthetics

PITTSBURGH, United States, April 23, 2009— CENTRIA (www.CENTRIA.com) announces Versacor Ultra, new high-build coatings that offer enhanced protection against harsh climatic or environmental conditions. Compared to most thin-film architectural coatings available, Versacor Ultra coatings provide a 75 micron (3-mil) Versacor Ultra Barrier Coat Primer over the metal substrate and several topcoat finish combinations to achieve superior resistance against corrosion, humidity and abrasion.

“CENTRIA has more than 100 years of experience and technology in providing high-quality color and coating solutions for metal walls and roofs,” said Julie Pawuk, Marketing Communications Manager. “The original Versacor coatings provided industry leading corrosion protection for cladding material through the use of multi-layer coating technology. The new Versacor Ultra finishes follow the same philosophy to provide enhanced performance over the original systems through the use of the latest paint and barrier coat technologies, yet they also satisfy owners’ and architects’ aesthetic needs with a full palette of color options.”

Coatings within the Versacor Ultra family include Versacor Ultra PF and Versacor Ultra TF and HF. Versacor Ultra PF is ideal for corrosive architectural applications such as coastal environments. This coating consists of a 75-micron- (3 mil) thick Versacor Ultra Barrier  Coat Primer and a 20 micron (0.8 mil) nominal PVDF top coat. On severe industrial applications, Versacor Ultra TF and HF both combine the superior corrosion resistance of the 75-micron- (3 mil) thick Versacor Ultra Barrier Coat Primer with the durability of a Urethane topcoat. The Urethane topcoat ranges from 38 microns (1.5 mils) on Versacor Ultra TF to 75 microns (3 mils) on Versacor Ultra HF.

Additionally, on most of CENTRIA’s Profile Series panels with a Versacor Ultra coating system, an additional 75 micron (3 mil) Versacor Barrier  Coat Primer is applied to the interior of the metal substrate, offering full reverse side coating protection. An internal paint finish of either standard acrylic wash coat, Urethane or primer is then applied over the barrier coat, helping to protect the metal against corrosion from the interior and at the underside of profile lap conditions. As more exterior walls are designed with back ventilated rainscreen wall systems, this additional protection will extend the life of the wall system.
